Lori Valentine

Lori Valentine is a senior public affairs and communications leader with more than 20 years of experience advancing economic development, government relations, and strategic communications initiatives across Maryland and the Washington metropolitan region. She has worked at the highest levels of state and local government, advising elected officials and economic development organizations on legislative strategy, public policy, and stakeholder engagement.

Most recently, Lori served as Vice President of Policy and Public Relations and Director of Communications for the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation, where she led communications strategy, media relations, and community engagement efforts while serving as a senior advisor to the President and CEO. Throughout her career, she has developed and implemented legislative strategies, managed complex stakeholder environments, and built partnerships among government agencies, business leaders, and community organizations.

Earlier in her career, Lori held government affairs and legislative roles with the Office of the Prince George’s County Executive, the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development, and the Maryland Office of the Governor, where she advised on economic development and business policy issues before the Maryland General Assembly.

Lori earned her Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Howard University. She is active in several professional and civic organizations, including the Maryland Government Relations Association and the Maryland Economic Development Association.
