Position Overview:
The Senior Client and Content Strategist plays a central role in delivering consulting services for PPR Strategies clients. This position manages day-to-day project coordination while also contributing directly to the execution of client work. Unlike traditional project management roles, this position is both a project manager and a practitioner. The Senior Client and Content Strategist helps guide projects forward while actively contributing to research, writing, analysis, and development of client deliverables.
Working closely with the Creative Director, this role helps ensure projects stay organized, timelines remain on track, and deliverables meet PPR’s high standards for quality and impact. This position may also take the lead on coordinating larger or more complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination – 50% time allocation
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and task tracking across multiple client engagements
- Coordinate internal team members, subcontractors, and creative partners to meet project deliverables
- Ensure deadlines are met, and projects stay aligned with scope and client expectations
- Identify potential risks or delays and proactively communicate solutions with clients and internal team members.
Client Project Delivery
- Contribute directly to research, analysis, and strategy development
- Draft reports, presentations, marketing materials, and strategic documents
- Support community engagement activities such as stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and workshops
- Synthesize information and translate insights and data into clear recommendations
Content Creation & Marketing Strategy – 50% time allocation
- Develop and execute content marketing and strategic plans that align with client goals and brand positioning
- Write and manage blog content, including research, drafting, editing, and publishing to support client thought leadership
- Develop compelling website content and messaging that reflects client priorities
- Produce digital content for social media, email campaigns, newsletters, and other online channels to drive community and stakeholder engagement
- Develop marketing collateral, including brochures, one-pagers, fact sheets, presentations, and other print or digital materials
- Collaborate with clients and the PPR creative team to ensure all content is on-brand, audience-appropriate, and strategically aligned
- Manage content calendars and ensure consistent delivery of marketing materials across client engagements
Client Communication
- Lead in client meetings and project check-ins
- Prepare and circulate agendas, meeting summaries, and follow-up action items
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients throughout project implementation
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Creative Director to ensure smooth project delivery
- Collaborate with PPR’s creative team on marketing and communications deliverables
- Support and mentor other team members, when appropriate
Quality & Organization
- Maintain organized project documentation and internal records
- Ensure all client deliverables are polished and client-ready
- Help maintain consistency with PPR Strategies’ brand and consulting standards
- Other tasks and duties, as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience in consulting, economic development, marketing, communications, or public-sector work
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent writing, content creation, and presentation abilities
- Demonstrated experience developing marketing plans, digital content, and marketing collateral
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with economic development organizations, local governments, or community-based organizations is highly valued
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting environment

- FLSA Status: Full-time, exempt
- Location: Hybrid or fully remote
- Travel: As needed for client meetings and events
- Reports To: Creative Director
- Salary range: $60,000 – $80,000
