As summer approaches, it’s a chance to take some time off and recharge. Taking a vacation requires planning in advance — where you’ll go, what hotel to stay in, lining up the dog-sitter, etc.
It’s no surprise that you’ll be taking time off work… So how can you plan in advance so that you have a stress-free (and laptop-free!) vacation — without losing momentum in your marketing?
Ideally, you should start preparing a couple months in advance, but it’s not too late to start now. Maybe for a couple of weeks, you double-up on writing blog posts, social media posts, and email blasts. Then, you schedule them in advance so they are ready to go.
Of course, you have to be careful in case something catastrophic happens in your community and be prepared to make changes if needed. (You don’t want Facebook posts about the lovely weather going out while meanwhile, your town is in the middle of a torrential downpour!)
During some downtime, write those extra pieces of content and set them up in advance.
The result? You don’t lose any momentum in your marketing efforts… and can fully relax on the beach!

‘Til next time,
