Here we are, finishing up the first quarter of 2019!
What new year’s resolutions or goals did you set at the beginning of the year that you haven’t taken action on?
Or maybe there was a 2018 goal that you’d still like to accomplish…
Or perhaps there are goals you haven’t even verbalized yet because they feel too attainable or far-fetched.
Today, I want to encourage you to dare to dream!
I was recently published in The IEDC Journal. I didn’t even know that being published in an Economic Development journal was a “thing” that I’d want to capitalize on! On top of that, I got to be published on a topic that I’m so passionate about: communicating across generations.
It’s a truly fulfilling experience to bring voice to something I believe in and get people to think about it in a different way.
This experience goes to show that we should all dare to dream.
Another example goes back 18 years ago when I was pregnant with Tabitha and a girlfriend said to me, “What if we start a business together?”
While the two of us didn’t end up working together, her suggestion planted the seed in my mind. I was empowered by her belief in me.
Skip ahead to today, and that seed of an idea grew into 18 years of business, over 200 clients served, and thousands of hours of helping organizations grow their businesses.
It can be exciting and scary to dream a little, put things out there and see what happens. But you just never know!
So what can you dare to dream? Leave a comment below and share with me so I can encourage you to go for it!
‘Til next time,
Sandy
