Blue Ridge Community & Technical College welcomes new Foundation Director

Sherri Janelle joins Blue Ridge family

Martinsburg, WV- Blue Ridge Community & Technical College is pleased to announce that Sherri Janelle as the latest edition to the team. Janelle joins Blue Ridge CTC after spending 13 years as the Eastern Panhandle Regional Director of the March of Dimes Janelle will be working as the Foundation Director, a newly created position at Blue Ridge CTC.

Janelle, an Elon University graduate, holds previous experience with higher education at Elon and Shepherd University. For the past 13 years she has served as Eastern Panhandle/ Division Director for March of Dimes.

“Sherri comes to us after a successful career working with an organization that required a lot of organization, responsibility, and diligence. We’re so happy here at Blue Ridge to see where those qualities will take Sherri in her new position as Foundation Director,” president of Blue Ridge CTC, Dr. Peter Checkovich, said.

Starting on mid November, Janelle began cultivating alumni and forming an alumni association. As director she will jump start a foundation to support the mission of the college. It will seek contributions for the progress of Blue Ridge Community & Technical College students and work to support the college in meeting new challenges. The Foundation is an ongoing partnership between the college and the community.

“I am very excited to be at Blue Ridge CTC and once again working in higher education. It is an exceptional time to be at Blue Ridge CTC; the school is growing in so many ways. I look forward to starting the Foundation and working with the community,” Janelle said.
