Blue Ridge Community & Technical College students place 2nd in national Cisco Net Riders competition

Placed highest among U.S. teams

Martinsburg, WV- On Dec. 8 Cisco students from Blue Ridge Community and Technical College competed against 47 other teams from across the United States and Canada, placing second overall with members Jeremiah Shore and Nathan Buchholz.

A Canadian team placed first meaning the BRCTC team placed highest among the U.S. teams. Shore and Buchholz received a paid trip to California for the win.

To be made eligible for the national competition, Blue Ridge students first competed in the Cisco Net Riders competition on the state level. There, four BRCTC teams competed and placed first, second, third, and fourth.

“Blue Ridge Community and Technical College’s Cisco students consistently place as top performers on the national stage and represent the college and their program so well. We have great teachers helping them but it’s the students’ own brilliance that makes us so proud,” John Doe, Director of Something, said.
