The American Advertising Federation–Greater Frederick (AAF-Greater Frederick) has named Sandy Dubay Public Relations Professional of the Year at the Maven Awards, which took place on June 20, 2013. Sandy is founder and CEO of PPR Strategies, a public relations firm with offices in Shepherdstown, W.Va and Frederick, Md. The awards seek to recognize outstanding business professionals in advertising, marketing and related fields.
Winners were chosen by the nominee’s demonstration of excellence in her/her position and demonstration of excellence outside of his/her professional career.
“It’s great to know that my peers respect my work and myself enough to nominate me for a 2013 Maven Award. I’m honored to be recognized as the AAF-Greater Frederick Public Relations Professional of the Year,” says Dubay. “Public relations is a challenging field to keep up with, things are always changing, but that’s why I love it,” she added.
Dubay started PPR Strategies over 10 years ago where she serves as the marketing/communications department for local and national businesses and organizations. She is a marketing consultant, spokesperson, publicity expert, public speaker and public relations team leader. Her clients span various industries, including education, retail, hospitality, economic development, tourism, and professional associations.
