Cobwebs are festive this time of year, but when they cover your website, they’re downright spooky. Maintaining a robust web presence is essential to your brand. While social networking adds tremendous value to your outreach efforts, your website remains a key marketing tool. If it’s been a while since you’ve blown the dust off your website (let alone your keyboard), clear the cobwebs with platinum results:
Identi-please: If you’ve recently updated identity pieces with a new logo, design, or color scheme, carry over your new look to your website.
Text messaging: Look at your website through fresh eyes, or enlist feedback from a customer or a new employee. While reviewing your site, ask yourself (or your recruit): Is the text straightforward and error-free? Does the site contain dated information, dead links, or promotions from the past? Don’t be haunted by those dust bunnies!
Anti-social media: Along the same lines, it’s terrific that your site links up to Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, and Google +, but be certain that the content on these sites is current, engaging, and tailored to your audience.
Happy Hallow-cleaning!
