8 Weeks of Joy: Treating Co-Workers to Homemade Hot Cocoa

Welcome back to our 8 Weeks of Joy series!

For the 8 weeks leading up to the new year, we’re highlighting different team members who will be sharing something they’re doing that brings them joy or spreads joy to others…

Last week, Caleigh shared how she and her creative roommates wrote encouraging and kind notes that they placed all around campus. It was a way to bring joy to both students and faculty during the busy finals season.

This week, Sophie, our Director of Operations, brought hot chocolate to the office to share. And she didn’t just bring packets of pre-made Swiss Miss – Sophie lugged in a large and heavy crockpot with hot cocoa made from scratch!

Sophie shares, “I was inspired to bring hot cocoa to the office because it’s warm, cozy, and brings holiday cheer – especially as the weather has grown colder. I also wanted to show appreciation for my great in-person co-workers and give a fun moment of stress relief and relaxation amidst our busy schedules.”

We have both avid coffee drinkers and tea drinkers in the office – and everyone enjoys a cup of hot chocolate.

“Bringing hot cocoa to the office was a simple yet impactful way to spread joy, and it made everyone’s day a little bit sweeter – especially mine!”

How can you bring a little extra joy into the office in the coming weeks as the holiday season approaches? Taking an extra step to “fill people’s cups” can make everyone’s day a little brighter and give team members an energetic, creative boost!

Let us know how our 8 Weeks of Joy inspires you!
