I see you, I appreciate you, and we will get through this.

I am fortunate to personally know nearly everyone on my email list.

Some people here are in Economic Development. Others are small business owners. Others are in the tourism sector.

I can’t emphasize enough how incredibly challenging this time is for all of us. I feel it every day. And many of you have taken a very hard hit during this time.

Today, I want to bring attention to our Economic Developers… and say Thank You.

To our local, regional, and state Economic Development partners: I see you.
I see what you are doing and the difference that you are making.

You are on the front line right now helping businesses with all the resources at your disposal.

You are working with state and federal partners to create grant programs.

You are creating webinars to get information out to local businesses.

You are making phone calls and sending emails every day to connect with your business community and support them in any way you can.

You were already doing a lot of this on a daily basis, and now it has intensified to a whole new level.

We have policemen, fire and rescue teams, nurses, doctors, and medical assistants who are all seen as our first responders.

Economic developers are the first responders for our economy and business communities.

If you are a small business owner, in tourism, or in another industry that has been impacted, I encourage you to reach out to your Economic Developers. Whether you’re in Maryland, Maine, or Alaska, your local, regional, and state Economic Developers are there to support you. They can give you the guidance and resources you need to figure out solutions during this critical time.

Here at PPR Strategies, we are here to support our communities in any way we can. We’ve been working with communities to provide coaching and training for their small businesses in areas such as Facebook training, online marketing training, helping them develop their email list, and helping them tap into the resources that Economic Development Organizations offer.

Like everyone else, we are looking forward to making it through to the other side and we are doing everything in our power to help our partner communities.

We are happy to announce that we have a new team member, Sophie Smith, who has come from a local Maryland Main Street. We are here to serve, and grateful to maintain the level of service and attention to our clients.

If you are interested in collaborating or getting our support, don’t hesitate to reach out. I want you to know we are here as a resource.

We will all get through this. We will get to the other side.

‘Til next time,
Sandy
