In Middletown, Maryland, many businesses faced the daunting challenge of navigating modern social media landscapes effectively. Recognizing this need, Main Street Middletown engaged our team at PPR Strategies to empower and educate local businesses through a series of informative social media workshops and personalized coaching sessions.
We began our partnership by hosting three insightful webinars, each designed to address a key aspect of social media marketing. The first webinar covered an introduction to artificial intelligence tools. This presentation was geared toward beginner-friendly AI technology that can save businesses time on their marketing efforts. The second presentation dove into strategies to build a strong, long-term content creation plan. It’s easy to provide short-term fixes, but we wanted to focus more on elements of a manageable social media strategy that would produce more consistent, relevant content production. The third webinar looked into video content fundamentals to make the filming and editing process less daunting for small businesses.
In addition to these webinars, Main Street Middletown invited PPR to conduct two in-person presentations to further interact with the Middletown business community. These sessions provided valuable face-to-face engagement, allowing us to answer specific questions, provide personalized advice, and gather insights into the particular challenges these businesses faced.
To offer more tailored support for select businesses, PPR launched a specialized one-on-one social media coaching program for Main Street Middletown. Since our deliverables would be customized to fit each selected business, our initial meetings were crucial for understanding the businesses’ industries, history, team sizes, capacity, offerings, and current social media approaches. We also discussed struggles and goals, ensuring our support aligned with their specific needs. Our team then developed customized deliverables based on our consultations with each business. These included comprehensive social media strategy documents featuring a social media audit, competitive analysis, goals, target audience details, content pillars, and more. We also created voice guidelines documents to outline the specific colors, fonts, and tone of voice for each company, ensuring each business could convey consistent branding across all marketing content. To further support their efforts, we designed social media graphics templates in Canva to provide a visual example of consistent branding implementation (and some creative content inspiration).
The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive throughout this project. In fact, we had conversations about leading more in-person presentations in the future so we can continue working with Middletown businesses!
