The Choral Arts Society of Frederick (CASF), Frederick, Maryland’s oldest community choir, cultivates a vibrant, inclusive, multi-generational community through the study and performance of choral music. Celebrating over 81 years as a performing arts group, the CASF represents Frederick’s rich musical history and promotes its bright future, excelling both musically and in public recognition.

Under the direction of Lynn Staininger, CASF was selected to represent the United States in commemorative ceremonies recognizing the 79th anniversary of the D-Day operation by the Historic Programs—a not-for-profit corporation that coordinates events to recognize historic world events. In this venture, the CASF choir joined an elite group of American and European performers, consisting of music and military ensembles, in a tribute held in Normandy, France, from June 3-7, 2023.

Celebrating this honor was just as important to the entire community as it was to CASF, which is why PPR Strategies, a Frederick-based agency, was thrilled to spread the word of this honorable accomplishment through public relations and marketing services.  Frederick is a town built on relationships; your neighbors want to celebrate your successes with you.

PPR Strategies has developed strong partnerships with the media over the past 20+ years in business. To recognize this wonderful honor, PPR crafted a series of press releases and curated pitches to publicize the news to CASF’s desired audience. Valuing time-tested relationships while constantly cultivating new contacts, PPR Strategies combined a wide list of media outlets to secure media coverage in person, print, radio, and on digital platforms, regionally and nationally.

As a result of public relations efforts, CASF was picked up by over eighty-five media outlets and publications and reached 6.3 million viewers.

PPR Strategies also assisted in creating social media post graphics and copy for CASF to share across the organization’s social media networks.

For nonprofits, telling your story is not only empowering; it is a critical and effective strategy to share a mission. CASF shares its deepest appreciation for PPR Strategies’s “genuine commitment to the local community.”

PPR Strategies is made up of team members who are passionate about paying homage to nonprofits; creating place-based strategic solutions for communities and destinations allows us to carry out our own mission to amplify the impact of community-based organizations.
