Today, we’re sharing two exciting updates!
First, the Frederick Factor Podcast was recently featured in The Frederick News-Post! Reporter Clara Niel interviewed Sandy and our Season 2 host, Ashleigh Kiggans, in our recording studio. In the article, they talk about the inspiration behind the Frederick Factor podcast and some of our exciting milestones so far. You can read the article here!
We’re also excited to have added a new position to our growing team – Director of Client Relations.
We’re thrilled to welcome Hanna Turner (back) to the team!
Hanna actually worked at PPR Strategies as a part-time intern and ultimately a full team member back in 2011 and 2012. Later, Hanna hired us to work with her when she ran the Grant County CVB.
As the Director of Client Relations, Hanna will be the point of contact for several of our clients, and she’ll also be coordinating with the team, managing projects, and overseeing deadlines so we can continue to deliver amazing service for our clients.
Hanna enjoys tapping into the uniqueness of our clients, helping them to expand and thrive. She’s worked in municipal government communications, economic development, and tourism sectors. She always set goals to be the “first” to do something in the area or state to set the city or county apart – mixing her competitiveness with giving a local economy a competitive edge.
Hanna most recently worked for the City of Fairmont, West Virginia as their first-ever marketing and communications manager, bringing them into the 21st century and implementing things such as Facebook, a pay-by-phone parking app, and a state-of-the-art municipal website all in her first few years. With the City, she gained a vast array of professional skills and knowledge in the planning and development department working to improve the local economy with public art, beautification, and multi-million dollar recreational opportunities in a rail trail and the region’s first universally accessible park.
Hanna holds a Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication with a Print Journalism minor from Shepherd University.
Here are some fun facts about Hanna:
Favorite part of her job: Helping clients identify and capitalize on their uniqueness.
Professional superpowers: The art of the “dig” to find resources for the team to utilize.
Personal superpowers: Throwing together an amazing garden at the last minute every single year.
Her favorite things: trips to the greenhouse; spending time with her husband Tim and their two children Stella and Reed; trips to her family farm; horses; peonies; gardening; Taylor Swift; Kiawah Island & trips to Charleston, SC; learning more about family history in WV; when someone says “let’s get take-out for dinner”; her mom’s birthday cakes; her dad’s fun stories from his DNR/USFWS days; honey bees & farm fresh honey; the smell of fresh cut grass.
Hanna looks forward to getting to know our current and future amazing clients!
Contact us to say hi to Hanna, and we’ll forward the message over to her. 🙂
