Video is [still] king… Here’s how to use it.

For years, we’ve been hearing that Video is King. And that’s still true today. In fact, a recent poll found that 89% of video marketers say video gives them a good return on their investment.

So how can you use video as an Economic Development Organization?

Like all of your marketing, it’s important to use video purposely and strategically, with your target market in mind. Here’s how you can do that:

Tell Your Community’s Story

All marketing comes down to telling a story. When creating a video, think of it as telling your community’s story, versus your organization’s story.

Highlight Local Business Owners

What better spokespeople for your community than local business owners? A Q&A with a new CEO can be beneficial in many ways. The CEO feels important and valued and it serves as a solid testimonial for your community.

Highlight Your Workforce

You can highlight your local workforce by profiling a professor at the local community college or highlighting a recent graduate. Ask them why they love living and working in your community.

Show Off Your Available Properties

One great use of video is to film the local properties available and share this on your website. This gives the prospective customer a closer-to-life experience of the available properties, and helps them to know if they want to explore it further with you.
