FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Blue Ridge Community and Technical College’s associate nursing program boasts excellent test scores

Associate nursing degree grads 100% passing of NCLEX

Martinsburg, WV- Blue Ridge Community and Technical College is proud to announce that their Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program achieved a perfect 100% first time pass rate on the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX) for Registered Nurses in the past year.

Out of the 11 ASN programs in the state of WV, Blue Ridge Community and Technical College’s students were the only ones to achieve a 100% passing rate. Just four other schools reached the 90% range with the lowest passing rate being 70% at one school. This is the third year in a row that Blue Ridge Community and Technical College’s program reached a pass rate of 90% or higher.

The NCLEX is the requirement test for nursing students to obtain their Nursing License.

“This is a great thing for Blue Ridge. With the NCLEX being required, and to have such a high first time passing rate- it’s a strong indicator of the quality of the curriculum and program offered,” George Perry, Vice- President of Instruction at BRCTC, said.

Blue Ridge Community and Technical College offers over 50 associate degree and certificate programs, as well as workforce development training.  Blue Ridge is conveniently located at 400 West Stephen Street in downtown Martinsburg, WV, with classes available on campus and online.  For more information about their courses and services, please call 304-260-4380 or visit www.BlueRidgeCTC.edu.
