Recently, I took a trip to Nashville, TN with my family.
My contribution to the planning was booking the hotel. My husband Sid booked our tickets to the Grand Ole Opry. And my mom? Well, she wins the prize… She researched Nashville sights and created a top 10 list of the things we had to see there.
Here are a few of the highlights from our trip. We…
- Saw a performance at the Grand Ole Opry
- Walked around downtown and checked out the local scene
- Toured The George Dickel Whiskey Factory
- Went to a rooftop bar with a great bird’s-eye view of the city
- Walked the pedestrian bridge
- Saw exhibits at the Country Music Hall of Fame
- Ate lots of great food… including some delicious sweet potato pancakes that put me in a food coma!
My mom’s idea to create a top 10 list got me thinking… Have you ever considered having a top 10 list on your website?
How often do we google “top ten” lists? Like the top 10 foods to lose weight, the top 10 craft beers for 2018, the top 10 fiction books, etc. You can take advantage of our culture’s obsession with top 10 lists by creating your own list that can inform and educate your target customer. For example:
- Top 10 reasons why a business should locate to (INSERT YOUR TOWN HERE).
- Top 10 reasons why your business should expand in (INSERT YOUR TOWN HERE)
- Top 10 reasons why people love working in (INSERT YOUR TOWN HERE).
I encourage you to think about the things people are searching for and write the content to support those needs.
You can spend a few minutes brainstorming with your team to easily come up with a few top ten lists. Then, you can make this content into a blog post, or even a downloadable guide people get by opting into your newsletter list.
If you try it, let me know! 🙂
‘Til next time,
Sandy
