Frederick’s newest shopping center will hold the grand opening of their second store, Wegmans, on June 5, 2011. The supermarket will join Marshalls and Lowes, which opened earlier this spring.

Easels in Frederick – Wednesday, June 22 – Sunday, June 26, 2011
Thirty artists will gather in historic downtown Frederick on June 22 – 26, 2011, to take part in a juried plein air painting competition. The painters will begin their work on Wednesday and continue through Saturday. On Sunday, an art exhibit and sale consisting of the artists’ work will be held. The WV State BBQ and Bluegrass festival will celebrate the best in bluegrass and BBQ on September 9 – 11, 2011, at the Lazy A Campground in Back Creek Valley. Over twenty performers will play on three different stages throughout the weekend.
